Cat. No.

GNRH1-170H

Description

Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GNRH), also known as Luteinizing-hormone releasing hormone (LHRH), is a tropic peptide hormone responsible for the release of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) from the anterior pituitary. These hormones are involved in reproduction. GNRH is synthesized and released from neurons within the hypothalamus. Its release can also be regulated by estrogen. GNRH activity is very low during childhood, and is activated at puberty. However, once a pregnancy is established, GNRH activity is not required. GnRH-a are considered by many clinicians as a clinically useful co-treatment in chemotherapy.

Source

Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

Purity

>95% by SDS Page and HPLC.

Endotoxin

<0.125 EU/µg.

Biological Activity

The biological activity is determind by using the Van Hell Bioasssay described in the British Pharmacopeia.

Storage

The lyophilized protein should be stored desiccated at -20℃. The reconstituted protein can be stored for at least one week at 4℃. For long-term storage of the reconstituted protein, aliquot into working volumes and store at -20℃in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
