Antigen
information |
Parathyroid
Hormone-related protein (PTHrP) is a member of the parathyroid
hormone family. This hormone regulates endochondral bone
development and epithelial-mesenchymal interactions during the
formation of the mammary glands and teeth. This hormone is
involved in lactation possibly by regulating the mobilization
and transfer of calcium to the milk. The receptor of this
hormone, PTHR1, is responsible for most cases of humoral
hypercalcemia of malignancy. |
|
Specificity |
Recognizes
human Parathyroid Hormone-related protein. |
|
Antibody class |
Mouse IgG1 |
|
Applications |
Can be used in
Western blotting and Immunohistochemistry. |
|
Presentation
and storage |
Purified
antibody is available at a concentration of 1 mg/ml in
citrate-phosphate buffer pH 7.0, with 0.02% Proclin 300 as a
preservative. The antibody may be stored at -20° C for one year
in its original formulation. Additionally, antibody may be
stored at 2°to 8° C for up to 1 month without detectable loss of
activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the diluted
antibody. |
